Lilac Spark: Bottega de Flores Designs a Fabulous Tablescape for Fashion Week

Fashion Week landing in Aquarius season just feels cosmically correct. The very sentiment speaks to developing your own style while participating in a larger collective vision.

For us, that always translates into tablescapes, events, and hospitality. An Aquarian is a little avant-garde, a little rebellious, and always unmistakably original. Designing a table in their honor called for a cool-girl, warm-heart aesthetic. And of course, Nolan Kiser of Bottega de Flores was ready to meet the moment.

THE MUSE: THE ICONOCLASTIC VISIONARY

We’re lifting the veil on the ethereal princess-meets-warrior poet as she breaks through the final days of winter into early spring. This table is for a visionary with a few vices, drifting in the Lavender Haze of a collective shift from the Pisces to the Aquarian Age. A woman with an eye on the future needs something fun and fresh to “turn and face the strange,” as David Bowie would say.

So who is she? This muse channels Catherine Baba and Prince when she dresses and serves savory dishes, audacity, bridal glam (always), and place settings stacked as high as her ring collection.

Behold, the cool, collected, confident host that she is:

Big Three (IYKYK): Cap Sun | Pisces Rising | Aries Moon
Celebrating: A new era — just because she can. Also, her best friend’s engagement.
Dinner Deep Dives: The last days of Downtown Neiman Marcus (RIP), the brilliance of Margot Robbie’s press tour stylist, and predictions for the next Fashion Week darling.
Personal China Collection: None. She rents — always — so she can play with whatever fits her mood.
Her P.O.S.H. Picks: Silver Sparkle Charger, Arte Italica Dinner Plate, Marie Antoinette Flatware and Serving Pieces by Reed & Barton
Her Mantra: “Certainty is my enemy.”

THE VIBE: AESTHETIC STORYTELLING

What is a visionary if not someone who appreciates the past while keeping one eye firmly on the future?

This fashion fairytale of sorts called for a tablescape rooted in tradition — vintage pieces with proper backstories (hello, Arte Italica) — layered with dimension, delicious details, and a serious sense of play. Bottega de Flores delivers with a whimsical mix of lavender, lace, and pearls.

There’s an atmospheric artfulness to this table. It invites guests to lighten up — a.k.a. the world can wait for tonight.

Lilac sprinkles across the design, a color that has dominated events and weddings over the past year. Refined yet modern, lilac softens the edgier elements of the table. A blend of blue (calm) and red (passion), it shifts the entire aesthetic toward graceful elegance while lending romantic optimism.

Liquid Archives provided a playful fashionweek touch with the cool girl accessories an editor or influencer would have on hand: Jimmy Choo shoes, the iconic Alexand Wang "Thank You" bag, pearl drop earrings, and a ciggy.

For the fashion-forward woman who wants feminine charm with her ready-to-party energy, this playful palette feels exactly right for the moment.

THE TABLE: ARTFUL PLAY

It’s a whole new world when traditional Arte Italica meets Lilac Spark Metallic Linen — one of our most playful and unexpected linens.

Placed atop the Glitter Edge Silver Charger, the Arte Italica Giulietta dinner plate receives its own celestial starburst moment, allowing us to see this typically alfresco pattern in an entirely new light.

Additional stacks of Marchesa Shades of Grey and Smoke Toile Salad Plate round out the setting — because this is a woman who serves both looks and courses with impeccable aplomb. It’s her healthiest vice.

This table doesn’t call for flatware that falls, well, flat. The Contessa Silver Flatware, with its embossed floral detailing, announces that you care about the smallest touch.

And you can’t be a little fashion and a little rock ’n’ roll without a Stella Light Purple Goblet. No notes. The Silver Bella Glassware Collection balances the grouping with a subtle regal flourish.

Perhaps our favorite finishing touch: the Clear Villa Ballroom Chair. A clear winner for a fashion-forward tablescape, it makes every pair of heels look stunning and turns heads the moment guests enter the room.
