LAYERED: Ombré Alfresco

FRANKLY ICONIC ALFRESCO

Texans just align with Italian culture and lifestyle. Something you might find odd given we live largely in the opposite of a global vacation destination–it might feel more like business, entertainment, and calculated risk-reward rule the day in the Lone Star Star. However, we hold an equal amount of adoration and high standards when it comes to relationships, service, beauty, and lust for life. Weave all of these magical mixings together and you begin to understand why Southern Hospitality is rooted in big personalities, huge hearts, and cultural influences. It also hints at our love affair with Italy.

We live for La Dolce Vita, be it on the Amalfi Coast or in our own backyard. And true tastemakers know how to tap into the Italian zeitgeist with that sweet Texas touch. This passion is what caused us to offer the iconic Ginori 1735 Oriente Italiano Collection. Our hope is you release yourself from the rules and find enjoyment in the simple act of mixing it up at the table–made even more effortless with thoughtfully curated rentals. It’s a colorful life, after all.

RECOMMENDED: ORIENTE ITALIANO FROM GINORI 1735

In 2020, Ginori 1975 took on a new name and identity, offering an irrepressible wave of renewal that reimagined the preciousness of porcelain and preserved its beauty and art with artistic international collaborations. Today, we are proud to offer the Oriente Italian Collection to our esteemed event and wedding planners and producers so they too can put their own twist on tradition. Tastemakers and trendsetters, this pattern is also for you. The evocative floral decorations of Oriente Italiano combine Far Eastern charm with the Italian tradition of porcelain. A perfect combination of aesthetics, ethics, passion, Italian culture, and traditions leads to endless possibilities when all ten eclectic color palettes are at play.

MIX MAESTRO | HOW TO LAYER THE LOOK

Influence the look and feel of your next alfresco moment with an art-forward collection. We consider this diverse dialogue of color and creativity an effortlessly cool way to blur the lines as you set the scene.

Begin with a cotton, damask, or linen tablecloth, preferably in heavy-weight weaves with a table pad to ensure your cloth won’t move around or blow about in the wind. Traditional all-white or blue-and-white patterns allow room for creativity when adding various shades to this ombre tablescape.

For this table, we liked the idea of rooting into the blue tones with the classic Mottahedeh Blue Lace Charger–a versatile pattern with a delicate teardrop border also inspired by Far East porcelain production (the Ch'ing Dynasty) and highlighted with bands of 22kt gold. We further committed to the color with the Marchesa Shades of Blue Bread and Butter Plates before taking one of each shade of the Oriente Collection for an outstanding ombre design. Last but not least, we polished off these effervescent place settings with a shot of limoncello in the generous design of the Golf Floral Lace demitasse. Cin cin!

CONVERSATION STARTER

A beautiful atmosphere invites stimulating conversation. No topic is off the table when presented with thoughtful commentary. And if reality bites too hard we will always welcome the quirky flex from pop culture pros. Is everyone skipping Europe for weekends in Sayulita? Did you finally binge-watch “Normal People” and “Yellowstone”? Are you hoping “Everything Everywhere All At Once” wins, well, everything? Is your playlist stuck on repeat from 1975? “Rhiannon” forever, but why not add in a little Steve Lacy –right, dolls? The point is always SAY MORE.
