sixty five hundred, self proclaimed as “remarkably Dallas” and we couldn't agree more, is a sensational new venue located right here in the heart of Dallas. As a preferred vendor we are excited to share with all of you the great features that this refurbished GE warehouse has to offer and how it has transformed into a state-of-the-art event venue. Located at the corner of Cedar Springs and Mockingbird Lane, we knew we had to get inside and check it out for ourselves. Gracious enough to host us, the crew over at sixty five hundred took some time to answer a few questions regarding the space. We think you will be as excited about the space as we are!
1. Tell us a little bit about sixty five hundred…
sixty five hundred is a new event venue in Dallas that boasts 20,000 square feet! The open floor plan, 20-foot pine ceilings, stained concrete floors, and fresh white walls offer a stylishly industrial look that matches our city’s contemporary, urban feel. In short, sixty five hundred is remarkably Dallas.
2. What tips can you give to brides or hosts holding events at your venue?
We know that planning a wedding can be extremely stressful. The biggest tip for our brides is to make sure they’re enjoying their day and not get too overwhelmed or disconnected. We created the lavishly decorated “green room” as a chic space in which to relax and get ready on the big day. With its own private restroom, full-length mirrored wall, television, and plush seating area, our green room seems to be everyone’s favorite part. I really love the vanity area where brides and their bridal party can have their hair and make-up done.
3. What are the perks/benefits of an event at sixty five hundred?
There are many perks to hosting an event at sixty five hundred, including location and size. Conveniently located at the corner of Cedar Springs Road and Mockingbird Lane (next to Love Field Airport), sixty five hundred is centrally placed and a just a quick drive to the Dallas North Tollway and Stemmons Freeway.
With 20,000 square feet, we can customize a floor plan that works best for a myriad of events, whether it’s for 20 or 1,000 guests. Previously, there were a limited number of options for larger events in the area, but in classic Dallas style, more and more people are looking for a fresh, contemporary setting, and sixty five hundred is just that!
4. What are a few DOs and DONTs you can give clients working with sixty five hundred?
DO have fun with the space! It really is a blank canvas that you can transform into your dream event.
DON’T feel overwhelmed by the amount of space. With elegant pipe and drape, we can transform the venue into an intimate area for any size event.
DO feel free to use vendors of your choice. While we have a list of preferred vendors, ultimately this is your event, and we want you to work with the people with whom you feel comfortable.
5. What types of events are held at sixty five hundred?
The great thing about our space is that it’s so versatile. We have a wide range of upcoming events from weddings to luncheons and cocktail parties to business meetings.
6. Lastly, is there anything else you want people to know about the venue?
We have quite a few amenities, including beautiful lounge furniture, an integrated sound system with wireless microphones, onsite projector, pipe and drape, large catering prep kitchen, and customizable LED lighting throughout with colored LED lights to wash the walls. We tried to think of everything so that your event can run as smoothly as possible!
