Spotlight On: Ginori Dinner Plates and Duchess Goblets

Go ahead and make a scene. We're putting a sophisticated spin on the classic Spring palette with our most requested rentals of the moment–the Ginori Oriente Italiano dinner plates and Arte Italica Duchess Goblets.

Spring has sprung, and events are stacking up nicely with optimistic colors and unforgettable place settings. The decorum of society season calls for elegant finery, coursed catering, and thoughtful conversation, so of course, we are prepared with polite pairings that give your table something to talk about.

Embrace a high-impact tablescape this season with vibrant shades and standout silhouettes that speak to guests from across the room.

The Couture Rental Collections

Our gorgeous Ginori Collection offers a bright contemporary contrast to our more traditional Mottahedeh Lace Charger Collection. This charming mix speaks to the shared heritages and incredible craftsmanship we love to incorporate in the narrative of our tablescapes. This iconic pairing works because both houses draw from centuries of ceramic tradition. Ginori’s Oriente Italiano collection carries the stylized garofano floral motif that has appeared in Italian ceramics for generations. Mottahedeh’s Lace chargers echo historic porcelain borders inspired by European interpretations of Chinese blue-and-white wares. Together, the pairing feels as intentional as it does ornate. Adding our specially commissioned Duchess Goblets in assorted colors brings a classic Bridgerton-era accent to the table while giving it vivid impact and a signature sense of fun.

The Ginori Oriente Italiano Palette Paired with Mottahedeh Lace

Talk about a pattern that just speaks to us. The Oriente Italiano collection is beloved not only for its Florentine floral motif but for its distinctive color language. Ginori names each hue after pigments, stones, or botanical references drawn from Italian decorative tradition, giving the porcelain an utterly beautiful, artistic sensibility.

Each shade brings a different personality to the table — and when paired with Mottahedeh Lace chargers, each becomes a new interpretation of color and pattern that creates a push and pull between traditional elements and today’s tabletop trends. We adore mixing and matching them together as shown, but they also offer a powerful punch when paired to meet your wedding or event color combos.

Ginori Citrino & Mottahedeh Blue Lace
Named for citrine stone and Mediterranean citrus fruit, Ginori Citrino is a luminous golden yellow porcelain edged with blue threading. Placed over the classic vivid blue of Mottahedeh’s Blue Lace chargers, the pairing becomes a classic study in color theory — sunlight against sky. Perfect for brunches in the courtyard or alfresco moments in the afternoon.

Ginori Iris & Mottahedeh Cornflower Lace
Ginori Iris takes its name from the purple-blue Florentine iris flower, a symbol closely associated with the city of Florence. The porcelain sits delicately between lavender and blue, becoming especially graceful when layered over the pale powder tones of the Mottahedeh Lace Cornflower chargers. This is one of our favorite bridal place settings when you need to bring in “something blue” to the table for any of the events leading up to your wedding day, as well.

Ginori Malachite & Mottahedeh Cornflower Lace
Ginori Malachite references the deep green mineral used historically in European decorative arts and beloved by fashionistas who love their jewel tones. The saturated emerald porcelain layered over Mottahedeh Cornflower Lace creates a palette that feels lush and botanical — reminiscent of conservatories and European garden pavilions. We love this combo for holiday parties when paired with more seasonal textures like velvet linens and copper flatware.

Ginori Azalea & Mottahedeh Plum Lace
Ginori Azalea captures the vivid pink of the flowering shrub that fills Italian gardens each spring. When paired with the Mottahedeh Plum Lace chargers, the palette becomes richly romantic, like a bouquet rendered in porcelain and gold. It feels very reminiscent of the romantic Wuthering Heights aesthetic that has been inspiring events as of late.

Ginori Cipria & Mottahedeh Red Lace
Ginori Cipria — the Italian word for cosmetic powder — describes a soft peach-pink glaze. Layered over Mottahedeh Red Lace chargers, the pairing introduces a subtle but dramatic contrast reminiscent of historic Italian ceramics where warm pigments were balanced with deep reds and gilded accents. If you love Terracotta tones but want to elevate them into a more contemporary setting, this combo is for you.

Ginori Bario & Mottahedeh Apple Green Lace
Ginori Bario, one of the most distinctive Oriente Italiano shades, sits between turquoise and teal — the color of Mediterranean sea glass. Paired with Apple Green Lace chargers, the table feels bright, fresh, and unexpectedly modern. This color combo is so subtle yet striking that it can work in any season.

The Duchess Goblet

We are obsessed with a little pour taste, and our Duchess Goblets set just the right tone for every party and place setting they have attended. Specially commissioned for POSH, these goblets are individually made in Italy from hand-blown glass and inlaid with 24-karat gold and silver.

We offer two stunning variations: The original Duchess Goblet Collection includes gold with white, gold with clear, and clear with silver, which serve as elegant companions to porcelain layered with gilded accents. The Duchess Goblet Color Collection introduces playful brilliance to the table with hot pink, white, light blue, green, and yellow.

Whether reflecting candlelight at a wedding reception or catching the sun at a garden luncheon, the Duchess goblets add height, color, and a flash of light that transforms a beautiful table into a memorable moment.

The P.O.S.H. Perspective

Remember, a well-stacked calendar calls for having P.O.S.H. on speed dial.

May and June call for Mother’s Day luncheons, graduation celebrations, dinner parties, end-of-year receptions, bridal brunches, and wedding receptions. Not to mention the kick-off of the FIFA World Cup in Dallas, plus all of your major milestone moments in between. Be sure to stack your plates and bring the proper aplomb to the party with P.O.S.H.

Our luxury tables rarely begin with a blank slate. They grow from traditions — porcelain houses that have refined their craft over centuries, glassmakers who still shape vessels by hand, and hosts who layer pieces with intention. This is the very philosophy that guides every expertly curated P.O.S.H. rental collection.

Your table should feel like you, which is why we offer patterns and porcelain that reflect or appear on many of our brides' bridal registries alongside contemporary collections. There is an art to refining these layers, and finding the right aesthetic that speaks to you is always one of the most fun parts of working with your planner or hosting your parties.

Stay Inspired With Us | Lend a P.O.S.H. pattern to the table and transform your next event.

If you’re spending the weekend waiting on a table — or buying instead of renting — you’re missing the fun. Dish up something fresh for every dinner party that honors everything (and everyone) you bring to the table.
