P.O.S.H. Designer Series: Social Graces

Spring Reset: The Future Requests Your RSVP

The imminent scene of color blossoming in the wild has officially initiated its energetic hold in our showroom with the Spring Designers Series. These tablescapes ask us to tune in to the present in order to savor the ways we can make life sweeter, more bearable even, especially as we continuously move through transitional times.

Spring sets the tone for art de vivre with her determined rebirth, self-invention, and most importantly, continuance. This begins with appreciating the beauty of every day and adopting it everywhere else in our lives. A penchant for such sentiments touches on pleasure and luxury–whether its food (always seasonal and scrumptious), the expression (dopamine dressing, take a bow), and another French word we’ve aspired to embody— volupt (meaning to please all of the senses). This is how we beautifully share our love language of entertaining around the table. May it be the powerful tonic you need to begin new traditions because life is too short not to break out the fine china.

Over the next two months, we will share six special designers and their unique tao of tabletop. Chic can be elusive, but with a sense of modernity and a wink at the past, each designer more than met this moment. They generously gifted us their expertise with a favorable interpretation of the kind of Spring ambiance that offers a graceful escape and ease. The images are stunning (thank you Tamytha!) but so are the thoughts behind them. Please also offer your undivided attention to the influence of the words below. Never forget, Spring is eternal for those who play. Joy is served.

NAME TO KNOW: SOCIAL GRACES

We are dialing up the heat for summer here in Dallas, so it only makes sense our last Spring Designer Series would be a white haute stunner by Social Graces.

Brides and vendors alike adore Corrine Sullivan, lead certified wedding planner and owner of Social Graces Wedding + Events, and her team for keeping the planning on point and the stressing to a minimum so everyone from the bride to the family and guests can enjoy a grand wedding day.

Corrine knows the design rules well enough to break into the trends while still keeping it classy, making her fabulous ceremonies and receptions uniquely yours. We knew her take on tabletop would feature something with a bit of an edge, and we were not disappointed! Her aesthetic duality wasn't afraid to exaggerate with an intentional and contemporary sparkle. We agree on the sentiment, “MORE IS MORE.” You'll love getting to know Corrine better below with her Q+ A on this glamorous tablescape. Without further adieu:

TABLE TALK

First things first, tell us a bit about yourself for someone who may not be familiar.

My name is Corinne Sullivan and I am the owner of Social Graces Weddings and Events! I started in the wedding industry in 2016 and am loving this latest chapter of continuing my passion through my own brand.

How do you let a table tell a story?

A table should reflect the person(s) being celebrated! I want a tablescape to feel complete and intentional. This can be done through the larger items such as linen and chargers, but it can also mean bringing in the smallest details – for example, pulling in colors or patterns into the china or glassware that remind them of their favorite vacation

What inspired this design?

This particular design came from my couples! Black and white with touches of modern boho floral is definitely the vibe right now. Mixing textures and styles (like disco balls and baby’s breath!) creates a chic and edgy feel these stylish couples are looking for.

What is your favorite piece on this table and why?

I have a few! I adore the new Vintage Etched Glass – I love how they add a delicate touch of femininity. But I really love how we were able to take the inspiration of feathers and texture directly to the table with a linen that isn’t always used on a guest table as well as bring in the pearl trend through the chargers.

Who would you want to bring to this table?

This is very broad, but based on this design alone:
  1. Claudia Oshry
  2. Adele
  3. Billie Eilish

Best piece of hosting advice?

Use your manners! But most of all, have fun! Run with that theme, get out that china you never use, and pass the bubbly!

Best way to find you and the other collaborators on this table?

The best way to find me is through Instagram - @socialgracesdallas or through email – corinne@socialgracesdallas.com. I worked with Haute Floral to design the ultra-modern and chic centerpiece.

Upcoming events you are excited about?

We’ve got a super fun styled shoot we are partnering with Posh for as well as a few other incredible Dallas vendors I cannot wait to share!

RAPID FIRE (1 word or 1 sentence)

My biggest source of inspiration: Home Decor

Dream collaborator: Monique Lhuillier and Gracie

Song that always makes the playlist: La Vie Boheme from RENT

I'm looking forward to...: Seeing all of my amazing couples tie the knot of course!

THE CLOSE UP

Tablescape Vibe:

Get the mood boards ready for this futuristic peekaboo. We are dishing out the drama AND the romance with this bridalscape. Based on the guestlist alone, we’re feeling ultra-feminine with a hint of the avant-garde. And much like every Social Graces moment, this unapologetic look arrives intentionally–no sensory overload just personal style in spades.

Palette + Pattern

Texture, color, shape— there may only be two tones, but the tactile elements add intricate depth that keeps this design clean, confident, and fresh. The black and white power stacking is a statement in itself, from the china all the way up to the decorated disco ball.

Conversation Piece:

The disco ball is the piece de resistance. Whether hanging above or in the floral arrangement, they reflect a future focus that says less panic, more disco while shimmering across our new Etched Coupes and cut crystal charger.

Table + Chair:

The round top under the disco ball keeps the design on theme while the Clear Ballroom Villa Chair continues a twist on tradition. This table is not asking permission to gracefully make its statement, but it's also keeping the gathering open for others' points of view.

Dress Up:

Take a note from the tabletop and flutter as you stride in with sequins, feathers, and vibrant prints. Everything from Aquazzura to Attico with a dose of Paco Rabanne is sure to edge you from your seated dinner to the dance floor.
