P.O.S.H. DESIGNER SERIES: KEESTONE EVENTS

FALL RESET

If you know Texans, you know as soon as the first crisp breeze graces our cheeks, we’re kicking up our heels (and boots, of course) and dressing tables as wonderfully layered as our wardrobe. Our mind immediately pivots from the lazy days of summer to grand entertaining on the lawn, in the great hall, or honestly, anywhere we can pull a table together and sit down to friends with love, laughter, and beauty.

A consistent style benefits from the spontaneity and curiosity (not to mention sustainability) of the P.O.S.H. approach. Wildly flamboyant to austere minimalism, no theme is too far from reach with a little pretty persuasion. We’re talking luxury rentals here, darling. Consider this your official invitation to diving deeper into pattern play curated by amazing local planners with our Fall Designer Series. Plan a visit to our showroom for the full sensory experience or browse digitally by checking back here throughout the season.

Thank you to the wonderful creatives you’ll meet over the next few months. In true Texas form, there are no shrinking violets here; these tablescapes came to play.

P.S. A standing ovation for our showroom photography Tamytha Cameron, who beautifully captures the personality and angle of every tablescape. We love you.

Now, let’s spin some plates.

NAME TO KNOW: KEESTONE EVENTS

The best way to keep the tradition alive is to spin it in the other direction. While that doesn’t always mean completely rewriting the societal script, it often cues aesthetics, designs, and atmospheres that never forget the past but turns a sophisticated eye on the future. When this layered approach meets events, you'll find the most personal, enriched environments. You know how the saying goes: We don’t remember days, we remember moments. That’s how we think a table should greet you, especially in this grand return to dinner party days. Yes, we know we’re waxing poetic, but such a spill is only right when introducing you to the next name to know in our designer series: Keestone Events.

What began as a desire to relish these magical moments rather than just running through the days, Sarah Kee left the corporate world and journeyed into elegant event planning. Joined by Lead Planners, Stephanie, Kelly, Hallie, Kristin, and Tzahhia, this is a team that gets personal to party. With the occasions tailored toward each client, Keestone slows down the pace in order to bring a unique vision to life. Whether it’s a 400-plus luxury wedding or an intimate affair for fifty close friends and family, we’ve always admired the rotation of elevated aesthetics that make their way to a Keestone Event. The approach feels at once timeless and modern with strong attention to clients–a foundation that began for most of the planners outside of the wedding industry, making this one of the most well-rounded teams at the table. When Sarah and Tzahhia took lead on this modern autumn aesthetic, we knew it would have as much soul as such a beautiful name. (Tzahhia is pronounced zai-ee-uh, which literally translates to “soul” in Spanish). Rooted in warmth and sprinkled with contemporary elements, this tablescape captures the very spirit of the enchanted Fall season.

TABLE TALK

First things first, tell us a bit about Keestone Events for someone who may not be familiar.

We are an event planning and design boutique, and plan for a variety of celebrations, from birthday parties to upscale weddings, destination, and corporate events! On top of planning experience, our team has experience in other fields like hotels, supply chain, and marketing which helps give us a different perspective. We pride ourselves on attention to detail and a quality experience for our clients!

How do you let the table tell a story?

It ultimately depends on the situation but we take inspiration from all sorts of aspects such as the location, the season, and of course, our client! One client may have an heirloom broach they want to highlight and that's what we run with, while another may be drawn to a specific color. When we design tablescapes, we consider the textures, colors, flowers, and special touches we’re adding to ensure it is cohesive, beautiful, and functional! At the end of the day, we design for each client, and as no one is ever the same. Each of our designs is different and based on specific tastes!

What inspired this design?

Fall colors are always a favorite, so we wanted to embrace this season while creating a contemporary and elevated design! We love adding non-traditional touches to our designs, so you’ll notice we used the Lucca black flatware instead of silver or gold, a stemless wine glass, and a coupe glass for champagne in lieu of the traditional champagne flute.

What is your favorite piece on this table and why?

The leather envelopes that Brandy from Leyco Lettering created! Brandy really understood our vision for this tablescape and ran with the concept. The end result is something one doesn't see very often but makes for a bold and unique statement! It is both informative and decorative.

Who would you want to bring to this table?

Our team! We genuinely love the camaraderie we have and enjoy getting together to share a meal and catch up with what’s going on in everyone’s life outside of work! Now, if we are talking celebrities, I’d love to have dinner with Dax Shepard! (If you’ve ever listened to his podcast, you’ll understand!)

Who is your dream collaborator and source of inspiration?

Jenna Lyons or Amber Lewis would be dream collaborators, but our biggest inspiration is always our clients and their stories.

READY FOR THE CLOSE UP

Tablescape Vibe:

A modern autumnal tablescape that feels at once approachable and artful? Count us in! The narrative begins with a seasonal palette and suspends dramatically with elegant fall branches from Venus & Co. Pared down sublime, if you will, that takes note of the natural layers around us. This soulful table encourages conversation. After all, you linger longer at a beautiful table (facts) and perhaps even put down your phone once you’ve snapped a pic for the ‘gram (goals).

Palette + Pattern:

Far from muted, we call this moody hues forevah! We adore the juxtaposition of sensuous shantung linen and the unanticipated luxury of rattan and concrete. These naturally elemental forms add weighted appeal reflective of the season with soulful shapes while the whimsical whispers of pattern from Arte Italica hint at Fall.

Conversation Piece:

The scene-stealer is certainly the leather menu holder from Leyco Lettering. What an earthy delight! The masculine touch caresses the torn edge menu for a superb contrast of form and function; it's chic rather than rustic. As far as rentals go, the Arte Italica Giuletta Dinner Plate hits a high note. This artisanal, hand-crafted heirloom dish is rooted in heritage and yet is entirely of-the-moment. (There's that twist on tradition again.)

Table and Chair: It’s truly hip to be square with a small table (all the better for intimate conversation) and the artful Bentwood cafe chair (otherwise known as the perfect perch). A pairing that just asks us to enjoy the cooler autumnal alfresco dining all Texans crave in October.

Dress Up:

The layered (and sophisticated) charm extends into the wardrobe, as does an understanding of mixing eras, textures, and high/low. Vintage Celine alongside Staud would be our first fashion fix of choice. Throw in Miron Crowby or Isabel Marant boots and you know it’ll be a smoking good night.
